Well, Dave Letterman then 'sort of' apologized to Sarah Palin & her family and the news cycle went on and we kind of forgot about it but now the entertainment headlines are carrying these stories:

Letterman says wife "horribly hurt" by sex scandal

and

Director Roman Polanski Arrested in Switzerland

Hollywood lives by one set of morals and the rest of the country by another. What Letterman hypothetically joked about, Roman Polanski actually did and Letterman thought it was funny. The joke is on Letterman now, FWIW, I feel badly for Letterman's wife, she can't help it her husband is a lout. That said, you think the Palin family is feeling a bit vindicated right about now? Me too.
